When in Florida, soak up the sun, lie on the beach and swim on the blue waters of the beach. But other than the sun and the beach, what else is there in Florida? Yes, the white sandy beaches are way enough to lure anyone in for a vacation but other than that, what does Florida has to offer?

One of the more famous Florida vacation spots are the amusement and theme parks, such as the Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Adventure Island and SeaWorld. They offer a wide array of activities and touristy fun most especially for kids. Disneyland is actually cut up in four sub-parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and the Animal Kingdom.

Another one of the well known Florida vacation spots is the Cape Canaveral where the John F. Kennedy Space Center is located. You can take a tour on the Kennedy Space Center or visit the Astronaut Hall of Fame. You can also check out the Canaveral National Seashore if you want to see some exotic birds or see some sea turtles.

If ever you are in Miami, one of the Florida vacation spots there is Key Biscayne. It has a lot of great recreational marinas, windsurfing and sailing activities. It also has the Miami Seaquarium that has dolphins and a year long eco-exhibits.

And these are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg in terms of Florida vacation spots. There are a lot more vacation spots in Florida and you can ask your travel agent about all them. That or you can just surf the web for details.
